COVID-19 & Supply Updates

Last Updated: 03-Aug-2021

Precautions & Services

We are open for in-store shopping & service, no advance appointment is necessary. As the Covid ? variant continues to cause raised concern amongst the medical and scientific communities, we strongly recommend all customers (vaccinated & un-vaccinated) wear a CDC-approved face-covering while in our store.

Please be aware that we retain the right to refuse entry to any customer who fails to adhere to current CDC guidance and we may in the near future refuse entry to any non-vaccinated individuals. Entry is also prohibited for any individual who is feeling ill or unwell, especially if they have a known recent exposure to Covid-19.

We still offer no-charge local delivery/pickup and curbside assistance for any customer that does not feel comfortable entering the store. We are available during regular store hours by phone or text at (203) 433-2780. Our store inventory is also available to browse 24/7/365 at https://www.ride914.com

Supply Chain Shortage & Updates

Our industry is still experiencing VERY long delays and lead-times (over 300+ days for some items) for all bikes and most parts & accessories. While we are accepting deposits for all bikes we currently have on back-order (please see our current & future available stock here), unfortunately nearly all models of bikes from our brands are currently over-sold for 2021. We understand this is frustrating to our customers, and rest-assured it is frustrating for us as well. If we could snap our fingers and magically order more inventory, we would. Our current in-store inventory is always listed and up-to-date on our website, https://www.ride914.com

Please visit the websites of the brands we carry for a full category of every bike we carry. If you are interested in any specific bike, we are taking pre-orders for all models that we currently have on back-order. Pre-ordering requires a deposit (fully-refundable for the first 30 days following the initial deposit, 5% of MSRP fee for all cancelled deposits after initial 30-day period). Customers have 10 days to collect bikes they have placed deposits on upon their arrival & assembly. Bikes that are in-stock at our suppliers but not currently on back-order must be special-ordered (some exceptions) and like pre-orders, require a deposit (refund-ability of deposits varies based upon model).

Our Bicycle Brands:

Giant - Liv - Momentum - Evil - Commencal - KHS - Free Agent - Bianchi - Sunday - Verde

Parts & accessories have also been widely affected by the same supply & demand issues facing the bicycle supply. While we have been doing our best to stock alternatives along with our regularly stocked items, certain parts & accessories may NOT be available for back-ordering. This is due to both a lack of production/supply as well as certain manufacturers that have chosen to work on a first-come, first-serve basis as products become available (i.e. they are not taking back-orders resulting in all bike shops ability to guarantee availability of certain items).

We again, TOTALLY UNDERSTAND, how frustrating this entire supply-chain issue is for everyone. Unfortunately, the entire situation is completely out of our hands. We are working daily, scouring many suppliers and trying more unconventional means of stocking our shelves - but the scarcity of supply does appear to be the reality our entire industry will face for the foreseeable future. Please be aware that even when we are presented with ETA's on product, even our suppliers are not 100% firm on these dates. There have been multiple instances where manufacturers themselves have been ready to ship product from overseas only to find they will not have an available shipping container and cargo ship space for multiple weeks or months. While we are working with our customers to secure bicycles and other products (i.e. offering deposits on more firmly dated back-ordered items, and offering refundable deposits when the given time frames for delivery are grossly exceeded), we are NOT RESPONSIBLE or LIABLE for any delays in delivery of any item.

We are doing our best to source quality options to help replenish our bicycle inventory and high-demand product inventory, but appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of tight supply and worldwide economic instability.

Stay well, and ride on.

We will all get through this together.

-Your friends at Ride of Pleasantville.
