This is Zipp's innovative all-road handlebar, the Service Course SL 70 XPLR. The bar's moniker, XPLR, exemplifies the desire to explore the world with an expanded definition of cycling on a drop bar bicycle—from paved roads onto gravel, mud, dirt, and even single track. The Service Course SL 70 XPLR helps you go faster by placing your body, starting with your hands, in an optimal "comfort zone" position for hours of rough riding over mixed terrain. Today's riders demand a few things out of their cockpit, whether they are doing a two hour training ride from home or a 200 mile gravel adventure: comfort, control, and the ability to carry what they need. We met these needs by creating a bar with shallow and wide drops, specifically focusing on two crucial metrics: outsweep and flare. Outsweep is created by rotating the drop below the brake perch outward. Flare is created by rotating the entire drop above the brake perch outward.
- Distinctive Zipp cosmetics
- 70mm Reach and 115mm drop allow a comfortable hoods position and a shallow drops postion
- 5° drop Flare and 11° drop outsweep creates a drops position 6cm wider than hoods
- Ergonomic top with 3° backsweep
- Lifetime warranty

On today's road bikes, silver stands out amid the sea of stealthy black color schemes. This time-honored handlebar color is available on the Zipp Service Course 70 XPLR, our newest drop-bar offering. The bar's moniker, XPLR, exemplifies the desire to explore the world with an expanded definition of cycling on a drop bar bicycle — from paved roads to gravel, mud, dirt, and even singletrack. The Service Course 70 XPLR helps you go faster by placing your body, starting with your hands, in an optimal "comfort zone" position for hours of rough riding over mixed terrain. Whether on a two-hour training ride from home or a 200-mile gravel adventure, today's riders demand more of their cockpit: comfort, control, and the ability to carry what they need. We met these needs by creating a bar with shallow and wide drops while focusing on two crucial metrics — outsweep and flare.
- Bar drops provide a wider, balanced, and secure position with drops that are about 6cm wider than the hoods position for technical or intense riding.
- The 70 XPLR features an ergonomic top with an extended 100mm clamping area for computer mounts, aero-extensions, bags, and whatever else you may need for the long haul.

Thomson custom-drawn alloy drop bars are optimized with performance-based bends, paired with tough, durable features. The lineup includes 3 profiles with varying widths, shapes and flares to meet all disciplines of drop bar goodness.
Made from 7000 series aluminum, and sharing the carbon drop bar shapes, the alloy drops feature 3 profiles a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop.
The mid-flat is minimal in design and big on comfort. The flat diameter stays small enough so to not restrict hand movements when riding on the tops. Concave shaping on the bottom side allows housing to be taped and out of the way.
The round profile and flare dirt drop share similar top profiles with custom-drawn ergonomic bends.

For all the off-road drop bar fans, Velo Orange offers the Far Bar, an affordable off-road drop bar. With off-road drop bars, most riders have the bars set up at the same height as they would have flat bars set to. Most of the time you are riding, your hands are on the hoods of the brake levers. Then, for steep descents, put your butt back behind the saddle and use the drops to get a better grip on the brake levers. You can run brifters or standard road brake levers on them and use bar end shifters as well.
The Daija Cycleworks crest appears on each side of the 31.8 mm clamp area.
These bars are a little different then road bars in terms of measuring the width. The listed width - 44cm or 48 cm - is measured center of the drops to centre of the hoods. The overall width is 585mm for the 44cm size, 625mm for the 48cm size.

The ergonomic evolution of Ritchey handlebars continues with the ground-breaking WCS Beacon. The most notable feature is its super-wide 36° drop flare. Aside from the unmatched ergonomic comfort and stability afforded by this wide flare, it also allows for plenty of space for handlebar packs.

Tom Ritchey has been riding off-road and riding far—and designing products for such adventures—decades before anyone thought to call it "gravel riding" or "bikepacking." His real-life experiences directly inform every product made by Ritchey—such as the beloved VentureMax handlebar. With its short reach, shallow drop, and purposeful flare, the original VentureMax offers comfort and confidence to legions of riders looking to settle in and have some fun on those dirty drop bar adventures.
Bikepacking adventures demand components that deliver unmatched comfort, practical features, and logical design. Additionally, the Comp VentureMax XL also features a 4.6° back sweep, aero-shaped 38x22.5mm tops, and drilling for a Shimano EW-RS910 junction box.

Nearly fifty years ago, Tom Ritchey, his mentor Jobst Brandt and a group of like-minded friends would spend countless adventurous hours riding the remote trails, broken tarmac and rough gravel roads that twist through the mountains in and around the Butano State Park in northern California. Tom still rides these trails and roads today, and this topography and the pioneering rides that took place there are the inspiration for the Butano handlebar.
This unique bar has proven highly sought after by legions of gravel lovers and road riders since it was introduced a few years ago. It's wide drop flare offers adventurous riders an increased level of control and confidence compared to more traditional drop bars, while its shallow drop and short reach offer a welcome amount of comfort for endless days in the rough stuff.
Updated for 2021, the new Butano capitalizes on its original comfort by adding new features such as the ability for internal cable routing and a welcoming ergo-aero top section for increased hand support. The drop flare on the new Butano has also gone wider, measuring a liberal 18° for additional comfort and control.
The new Butano handlebar was born from Tom's legendary riding adventures in those remote California mountains, and delivers the features you need for your own unending exploration and ceaseless journeys.
